Grant Oppourtunities
The Hammond Urban Enterprise Association invests resources for partnerships, alliances and networks that are working together to address needs in the Zone community. These initiatives bring people and resources together to build a strong, healthy, and safe community for all. The objective of the grant is to support organizations and concerned citizens working together to understand emerging needs and plan or develop pilot initiatives accordingly. The HUEA understands that effective collaborative work of this nature requires an investment of resources.
The organizations applying to administer the Partnership Grant on behalf of the network partnership or alliance are more likely to be supported if they meet the following criteria:
IMPACT – The grant funding must have a civic betterment impact on the Zone community and coincide with the HUEA mission
INTEGRITY AND STABILITY – The entity requesting funds must have stability and credibility within the community. Two letters of recommendation must be sent to the HUEA from organizations familiar with your organization.
HISTORY – Applicant must provide a history of successfully completed projects.
REQUEST – Funding request must be feasible and include a detailed budget of the activity. Applications must apply to the Enterprise Zone community
The UEA will be accepting grant proposals from November 1st, 2018 until March 31st, 2019 to be funded in the calendar year 2019. This will be the only time that proposal or sponsor applications may be accepted. As there is a limited amount of grant funds available, please send a letter of project description and project budget or sponsorship letter request. The grants funded will receive acknowledgement by May 1st, 2018.
